GORGEOUS FULL FANCY DELUXE FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION 1907 .351 SELF LOADER CALIBER AUTO LOADING RIFLE, #2XXX, MADE 1907, beautiful high grade burl walnut stock, correct Winchester embossed pistol grip cap, checkered pistol grip, checkered forend, Winchester embossed hard rubber butt plate is exc., generally excellent blue overall showing just minor age and edge wear, Lyman tang sight along with buckhorn and blade/bead front sight, exc. inside and out. Interesting to note that Teddy Roosevelt took one of these on his ill-fated trip to Brazil after his president When this rifle was made, Winchester was still churning out Model 1873s!! These early self-loaders were way ahead of their time. Very few full deluxe versions were made. This is a superb early Winchester deluxe rifle now 110 years old.
