Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This .416 Rigby African is quite the beauty! It features an upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut point checkering (wrap around on forend), an ebony forend tip and ebony stock cross bolt plugs. The satin finished stock has a point skeleton grip cap with checkered wood and a Pachmayr recoil pad that yields a 13 7/8” length of pull. The front barrel band and rear inletted sling swivel studs make mounting a sling easy. A quarter rib rear sight and banded, hooded front fiber optic sight sit atop the 24” barrel. The matte blued metal has custom engraving on the receiver, bolt handle, bolt shroud, quarter rib sight, barrel band swivel stud, front sight band and hood, bottom metal and grip cap. A set of custom engraved 30mm Talley quick release rings is mounted on Talley bases. Weight is 10.25 lbs.
