Up for sale today is a US Savage No. 4 Mk. I* serial no. 28C2953 (1942 production date) chambered in caliber .303 British. This excellent example of a US Savage SMLE is US Property marked, indicating it was a part of the Lend/Lease Program during the Second World War. This rifle has an excellent original sling, and shows overall excellent finish on metal and wood parts. The bore is in mint condition. An excellent example of the historically significant Lend/Lease rifles, and a great shooter as well.
