#16175, Mannlicher Schoenauer Patent Model 1903 Carbine by Oesterr Waffenfabr. - Ges. Steyr: A 6.5x54 Mannlicher Schoenauer Carbine with a full length Mannlicher stock, It is with a 18" rifle barrel with 1 standing & 1 folding rear sights, Never drilled or tapped for scope mounts and a scope was never installed, A cocking piece bolt peep sight that I am sure is a Lyman that is adjustable for windage & elevation and the aperture folds down when not in use, Factory band front ramp, Double set triggers, Factory bolt safety, Original sling eyes, Steel grip cap, Cheekpiece, 14 1/4" LOP over the original trap buttplate with a takedown cleaning rod inserted, 6 lbs. 12 oz., This piece remains totally original, The barrel blue is at about 92%, The receiver blue is at 90%, The bottom metal remains at 75%, The stock with original finish is at 70% with scattered hunting marks, The checkering remains at 85%, The bore is absolute in excellent condition. A very neat Carbine in a very practical & functional cartridge. This piece lived its life being hauled around in a lot of lousy game areas as it hasn't been fired much as the bore is super and the bolt face has 98% blue.
