BRITISH Antique “E.P. BOND/LONDON” Musket
Percussion Muzzle-Loader with British Proof Marks
Here we present an antique Percussion Musket, made circa 1850 by E.P. Bond of London, England. The lock is marked “E.P. BOND/LONDON”. Bond is also known to have made Model 1853s that were imported for the Confederate troops during the American Civil War. The left side of the barrel is marked with British proof marks. This specimen features a notch rear sight and a post front sight.
Overall condition is fair. The metal parts are dark with age. Markings are legible. The stock has been shortened. The bore is smooth and untouched. The action is strong.
