****** SOLD ***** 23 inch barrel; 14.25" LOP on factory Colt recoil pad (recoil pad is smashed at heel - see pics); Colt's upgrade to their Coltsman was the "Custom" and then the "Custom Deluxe" was a grade above making it the top tier of Colt rifles offered at the time; Made exclusively by Sako, this gun features a high polish blue finish, strong diamond checkering on pistol grip and forearm, walnut stock with rosewood forend and pistol grip cap and engraving on trigger guard and floor plate (the "rampant Colt" logo on the floorplate and pine trees on trigger guard); Light colored wooden inlay of a dot on pistol grip cap; Sling swivel studs; Checkered bolt knob; Missing front sight hood; Sight blanks installed; Made in Finland; Smooth and reliable Sako medium action; Outstanding original condition; Trigger guard and floor plate retain all their blue and engraving is about perfect; Stock is excellent with no noticeable marks and one small pressure mark on the rosewood pistol grip cap; Bolt is numbered to the receiver; All together about 10,000 Colt rifles were made in various grades, with roughly only 20% Custom and a very small percentage of those in the Custom Deluxe grade (probably in the 100's) making this a rare Colt and Sako collector rifle. Includes Redfield one piece base and rings and a 3-9x40 Redfield scope.
