Fine metal and wood, fine markings (“GR” for George Rex on lockplate) with both the English proofings as well as Belgian proofs on the barrel, after it was likely sold to Belgium as surplus in the post-1860s. Strong tight action but needs a new nipple as this one is pretty much mashed closed from a hundred plus years of people dry-firing it. A mainline and very well made large English military handgun of the early 1800s that most likely got surplussed sold to Belgium gun wholesalers after its many years of use in British service.
