WWII OR WW2 SPREEWERKE CYQ CODE WALTHER P-38 9MM PISTOL. Serial number "2700" on barrel lug, slide and frame matching. Spreewerke "cyq" to the right of "P. 38" on right side of slide. Waffenampts with swastikas over "88" on right side of slide. Pistol was probably repurposed for East German Police hence the starburst next to another shield with "22" in it. Along with british proofs on frame(crossed swords.BNP) and "Tons…" British proof on barrel explains its refurbishment(reblued) over some pitting from WW2. Original grip panels and mint bore as well perfect working order. "jvd" stamped wartime magazine. Saw action in the War, battlefield pickup, issued to East German Police, sold to Britain in surplus deal(Interams bought thousands and had them proofed in Manchester at their own facility, then imported by Interarms for sale here prior to mandatory import stamping requirement which this one has none of(NO import marks). Real WW2 Spreewerke P-38 for not much money. Would make a good shooter too.
