Produced by F.LLI Pietta in Italy, this excellent and faithful reproduction of the famous LeMat revolver is in excellent original condition and appears unfired. This unique revolver was a cap and ball 9-shot revolver in .44 caliber with a center mounted 20 gauge barrel that could be loaded with buckshot for a very lethal 10th shot. The original examples were used by the Confederate soldiers that were lucky enough to have them. Both Jeb Stuart and P.T. Beauregard were noted Generals that carried them. This reproduction is beautifully made and functions perfectly. Everything works 100% like the day it left the factory and it could pass for being new and unfired. If you have always wanted to own one of these unique and important handguns of the American Civil War but don't have $15,000 to spend on an original, this would be a perfect option instead.
