Antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver circa 1860
19th Century European Handgun
Here we present an antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver, made circa 1860. Casimir Lefaucheux patented the pinfire cartridge in 1835 and son Eugene designed the pistol. The pinfire cartridge was one of the first successful self-contained cartridges in history, and the pistol saw prolific use in Europe during the 19th century, even being adopted by some militaries.
This 6 shot, double action revolver features a lanyard ring, perhaps suggesting police use. The condition is that of a relic. Action is not functional.
