11mm Antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver circa 1860

Here we present an antique Belgian Pinfire Revolver, made circa 1860. Casimir Lefaucheux patented the pinfire cartridge in 1835 and son Eugene designed the pistol. The pinfire cartridge was one of the first successful self-contained cartridges in history, and the pistol saw prolific use in Europe during the 19th century, even being adopted by some militaries.
This 6-shot, double action revolver features a lanyard ring, perhaps suggesting police use. Belgian proof marks are on the cylinder. Overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces are in nice condition, having been tastefully refurbished. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are smooth and in very good condition. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is excellent.
