Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: MODEL 53 TAKEDOWN IN RARE .32-20 CALIBER, WITH DESIRABLE LYMAN 21 LONG RECEIVER SIGHT, #10XX, MADE IN THE FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION 1924, the standard caliber for this model was .25-20, less than 25,000 of this model were made- another casualty of the Great Depression- and of that number only 4,718 were in .32-20 caliber, this example has excellent barrel and mag blue, the receiver flaked to mainly gray/brown which is typical of 1920s vintage Winchester lever guns- but has fine blue in the protected area under the long Lyman sight showing it has always been on this rifle, tight takedown, good blue on the loading gate and some good blue on the bolt, blank filler in rear sight dovetail, exc. wood showing only very light handling with two small chips on the right side of the forend by the forend tip- minor, correct original steel butt plate, tight action, exc. bright bore, rare caliber especially with special order takedown and receiver sight!
