The action on this Tikka Model 658 has to be felt to be truly appreciated, it's as smooth as any we have ever felt. This Tikka Model 658 chambered in 6.5 Swede is a beautiful rifle that is used but in excellent condition. It comes ready to go with a Weaver Grand Slam 1.5 to 5 power scope. The 6.5 Swede chambering is not offered in many rifles being made today, and is a very accurate and flat-shooting cartridge capable of taking most North American game. The high ballistic coefficient of this round also makes it ideal for long range shooting, and this rifle was built to fully take advantage of this. It features a free-floated and crowned 22 inch barrel, a deluxe checkered Walnut stock, QD sling swivel studs, a detachable 3-round box magazine, and an adjustable serrated trigger. The factory matte-blue finish is in excellent condition and rates a solid 97%. The bolt is factory polished bright and is serial numbered to the rifle. The bore is bright and in minty "like new" condition. The rifling has sharp lands and grooves and shows no pitting, erosion, or flaws of any kind. The Walnut stock is also in excellent condition and is quite attractive. It has lots of nice contrasting grain showing, and is free from cracks, repairs, or chips. The checkering is still nice and sharp, and there are only some minor handling/storage marks visible under close inspection. This rifle came from the factory with a black Tikka branded recoil pad nicely fitted to it, and the rifle has a length of pull of 14 inches to the end of that pad. The pistol grip has a black plastic cap fitted to it, and it is also in excellent shape. Everything works on this rifle like the day it left Tikka's factory. The Weaver Grand Slam scope is in great shape with nice clear optics. All the windage and elevation adjustments work properly, and the power adjusting ring turns smoothly. It is a rather cool scope with the 1.5X setting; that low setting allows you to shoot with both eyes open if you need to shoot at a moving target. If the target is further away you can still turn it up to 5X, which is really all you need for most Whitetail hunting environments in the woods. If you have been looking for an attractive, accurate, classy, and somewhat unique rifle to hunt with this year, this Tikka would be a perfect choice! Also comes with the loading dies to reload the 6.5 Swede!
