Description:
Serial #74310A, .22 LR, 23" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some traces of mild freckling within the grooves. This is a 1948-manufactured rifle that retains 85-90% of the original blue finish that has faded to gray along the projections and high edges. Additional areas of plum-brown freckling are present on the frame, and there are some linear white paint smears along the left side of the barrel. The walnut forend and buttstock have numerous small handling marks and blemishes scattered about the original varnish finish. The buttstock has an added sling swivel, but there is no front swivel. The mechanism is still tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a nice, usable example of a Winchester 63, and rates very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
