Hello, I am selling my Walther KKM rifle in good shape. It has many signs of use. Please examine the pictures carefully and feel free to ask questions. I believe these were made in the early to mid 1960s. The serial number is 18409. The sale is for the RIFLE ONLY. The scope and rings are not included.
This rifle weighs a feathery 8.5 pounds. Compared to most target rifles it is refreshing to lug around and handle. It operates and shoots well. It has a fabulous two stage trigger. The bore, checked with a borescope, is good. The metal has a few places with minor pitting and marks where it was nicked, rubbed, and otherwise worn.
The receiver is grooved 11mm the entire length for a modern scope. The stock has many signs of use and has a minor alteration. The underside of the forarm has been relieved at the end of the accesssory rail to ease access.
The bolt knob has tool marks (on both sides) where someone probably hoped it twisted off; please see the last picture. The worst is shown, the other side is slightly better.
Please examine the pictures carefully; what you see is what you get. Feel free to ask questions. I am new to GI but have substantial seller's feedback under the same name (Thomasconnor) in other places and am glad to provide links GI won't allow here. I will probably ship this broken down (barreled action removed) to protect the stock.
