Description:
This is an original example of the last or 3rd issue of S&W's wonderful little tip up .22 short pistol called the No 1. It is entirely made of iron. This example has some original bright blue present on the frame and sideplate with the rest having gone to a browned patina. Revolver is fully functional but of course not safe to shoot with modern ammo and there is no longer any blackpowder .22 short ammunition loaded which is what it was made to shoot. Grips are original and appear to be rosewood. This is the model that started Smith & Wesson! Being made before 1898 there is no ffl or c&r to purchase. Shipping and insurance is 10.00.
