TWO C&R Belgian Double Barrel Hammer Shotguns
H.J. WILSON & W. RICHARDS
Here we present two Belgian Double Barrel Hammer Shotguns, made around the turn of the 20th Century in Belgium. Each features a right-handed opening lever that can be easily reach with the thumb. Both guns have numerous Belgian proof marks under the barrels. The longer gun has a 32 inch barrel and is marked “H.J. WILSON” on the lock and “CAST STEEL” on the barrel rib. Patina is dark. Markings are clear. Stock is in good shape. The bores are a bit pitted. The left hammer/trigger group is functional, while the right is not.
The shorter gun has a 30 inch barrel and is marked “W. RICHARDS” on the lock. The patina is mottled. The markings are clear and legible. The stock is a bit worn. The bores are fair to good. The hammer spurs are broken off. The actions are both functional.
