Description:
Anschutz Stalking Rifle in .22 Long Rifle. 23 1/2" barrel, single shot, double set triggers, round knob, checkered walnut stock with schnabel forend. Burris 2X power, 3/4" tubed scope with post and cross-wire reticle. The barrel is stamped with maker's name, J G Anschutz, and marked with other German marks. The barrel, receiver and bolt are each marked with an Eagle/N for Nitro Proof. The front receiver ring and the plastic butt-plate are also marked with JGA, maker's intitials. Condition: The barrel and receiver blue is in good condition, but there are some blue touch up in places. There is black paint loss to scope mount. The bore is in very good condition with shiny lands and grooves. The wood is a little dry in the butt area of the stock from a weathered finish, and there are small nicks, scratches and dings in the wood. Also, there is a very old bug hole or whatever, causing the wood to deteriorate under the checkering on the right side of the forend. Rifle weighs 4 1/2 Lbs. Serial Number: 742
