This is Parker number 200885 and it was completed in 1923. The gun is just as it left the factory and you can see the factory letter which is attached. When I purchased the gun the stock was in need of a refinish as were the barrels but the gun was intact and I could see the potential there for a really nice gun. I had been looking for years for a nice 16 or 20 gauge with decent stock dimensions and one that still retained the skeleton butt and this one met the requirements, it just needed a little loving care. I sent the gun to Dave VandenBrand in Michigan and as always he did a wonderful job. I had him refinish the stock, recut the checkering including the mullered border, rust blue the barrels, skeleton butt, and trigger guard, repair the ejectors, and clean and lube the action. He called me when he was done and said, "you are going to be surprised when you see this wood" and you know he was right. The old finish had completely hidden the lovely grain on the gun. Dave went above and beyond sending the skeleton butt and trigger guard out and having the engraving touched up which makes a huge difference in the appearance of the gun. I ask Dave if he had any reservations about shooting the gun and he said, heck (I'm cleaning it up here) no, shoot the devil out of it. Top lever is still right of center and barrels are tight on face and ring like only these old barrels can. The letter attached fills in most of the details but I'll add a few things. The Titanic steel barrels are 28 inches with right bore measuring .670 and having .026 of constriction. The left bore measures .668 and has .028 of constriction which should be just as it left the factory. Stock measures 1 1/2 X 2 5/8 X 14 1/4 over the skeleton butt by my measurements which is 1/8 longer than the letter states but I'm measuring to the crown of the wood on the skeleton butt and if you measure to the edge of skeleton it is 14 1/8 inches. Weight of the gun on my digital scale is exactly 6 pounds 9 ounces as it left the factory. Take a look at the pictures and I think you'll agree the gun turned out nicely. Price of the gun is $8500 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. Contact me with any questions you might have.
