This is the only site I use and do not plan to change. Description: J. P. Sauer double 12 gauge and 12 gauge by 11.75 X 67 MM cape gun. Two barrel set, one set of barrels are 12 gauge that have been opened to 2 3/4" chambers and are choked Modified and full. These barrels are 29 1/2" long. the gun set up as a shotgun weighs 6 pounds and 8 ounces. The shotgun bores have very light pitting towards the breech and has been properly  polished and reblued. The markings on the barrels have not been smeared as is so often done by poor preperation for blueing. The code for what I think is the proofing date is 0 06. If this is the proof date I have never seen an 0 for the month. The second set of Cape gun barrels are 12 gauge improved modified choke and are 11.75 X 67MM and were made by Emil R. Martin, Bonn and were proofed 2-22. The brass cases can be made from 9.3 X 74R cases. A custom made bullet mold comes with the gun. The cape gun barrels are 26" long and have bright bores. Set up as a cape gun it weighs 7 pounds and 10.6 ounces. The J. P. Sauer side-lock action is 80% engraved with beautiful fine scroll and has double sears and cocking indicaters. The action is a non-ejector and is marked DRGM17193. the stock has a shadow cheek peice and nice wood. Sling swivels on the stock and both sets of barrels. The gun has the original horn butt plate and steel grip cap. This gun comes with a conteporary case with key lock and includes a fine wood cleaning rod, shotgun brush and mop plus a jag for the rifle. Also, a oil can and cleaning rag. This is a very high quality cased shogun with extra barrels for the price of a cape gun alone.  SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes
