Description:
WINCHESTER MODEL 1887, 10GA, 32" BARREL, 2 7/8" Chambers. Excellent Bore, Blue Barrel & Receiver, Original Wood, and Butt Plate. Excellent Mechanically. "Black Powder Only". First Lever Action Repeating Shotgun, Designed by John Browning. Most Model 1887 were Case Colored Receivers, But this gun appears Original Blue, and Dennis Adler States in his book, "WINCHESTER SHOTGUNS", That a Number of the guns were actually done in "BRIGHT BLUE RECEIVERS AND LEVERS". This Appears to be one of those guns, and the condition is probably 85% or better. LOP: 13", DAC: 2 1/2", DAH: 2 3/4", WEIGHT: 8LBS, 7OZS. The WP Proof marks on barrel & receiver indicates the gun was returned to Winchester and work was performed prior to 1905.
Shows no sign of being Re-Furbished, other than varnish added to stock, Easily removed and Linseed oil added to bring back to original condition. SN#43060, MFG: 1892. Ships to Lower 48 W/Insurance, $55.00
