Description:
If you have been looking for a unique high powered rifle that is first quality in materials and build quality but a great deal at the same time, this is it. The Parker Hale Company was founded in 1890 as the A.G. Parker Company in Birmingham, England, and didn't take the Parker Hale name until 1936. In 1991 Navy Arms bought the company and manufacturing rights and began making rifles and accessories in West Virginia. This rifle is a Birmingham, England made rifle and is first quality all the way. It uses a Mauser action with controlled feeding and a full length extractor. The original factory gloss blue finish is in excellent condition and rates a solid 98% with no wear visible, only some tiny handling marks visible under very close inspection. It appears that this rifle has been used very little and has spent most of it's life in storage. The trigger guard and floorplate are a metal alloy with a black finish that is in excellent shape, and the grooved trigger has a gold finish. It is chambered in the powerful and flat shooting 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge and features a 24 inch barrel to get every bit of accuracy out of this magnum round. The barrel came with a flip-up adjustable rear sight which has been removed for scope clearance and a ramp style front sight with a protective hood. The bore in this rifle is minty and bright with sharp lands and grooves in the rifling. The skip-line checkered Walnut Monte Carlo stock has a Rosewood tip and pistol grip cap, and has sling swivels factory installed. It is in excellent shape with no cracks or repairs. There are some small dings and handling marks but nothing that takes too much away from the attractive overall appearance of the rifle. The stock also has a Pachmayr recoil pad that brings the length of pull to 14 inches to the end of the pad. Everything on this rifle works 100% like the day it left the factory. This rifle comes with a Millett 6 to 18 power scope with an adjustable objective lens mounted on Redfield rings and a Redfield 1-piece base. All the adjustments work perfectly on the scope and the optics are nice and clear. This rifle is a very well made and classy looking piece and to find something comparable to this would be quite expensive. This would be a rifle that anyone would be proud to carry to the range or into the woods this season, and is powerful and accurate enough to take any game in North America. Priced to sell!
