22" tapered round barrel with hooded full-band front sight, custom swivel base, and quarter rib with 1 standing and two folding gold-lined express sights, engraved: S. R. Heilmann, Grass Valley, California. Highly figured walnut stock with ebony forend tip, classic wrap-around point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, skeleton steel pistol grip cap---checkered within, classic comb, beaded pancake cheekpiece, inletted and pedestalled rear swivel base and skeleton steel buttplate---also checkered within. Ruger No.1 action with knuckle removed, integral sideplates added, and custom safety with S and F inlaid in gold. All metal and stock work by Steve Heilmann. Extensively engraved by Barry Lee Hands: baying elk on left, mule deer buck on right---all surrounded with foliate scroll. Scroll on front sight band, front swivel base, barrel breech, casehardened loading lever, grip cap, and buttplate. Fire-blued small parts by Barry Lee Hands. Leupold VX-II 2.5x20mm matte-finish scope with fine duplex reticle on Turnbull-casehardened Warne quick-detachable rings mounted directly to quarter-rib dovetails without separate bases.
