For sale, a very nice vintage Browning BAR model rifle in .300 Win. Mag. This Belgian made and Portuguese assembled BAR is used but in very nice condition. The factory blue finish rates 95%+/-, and does not show much wear. Where the deductions occur are on the top of the receiver around the drilled and tapped areas for a scope base, some light scratches on the left side of the receiver, and some very tiny spots along the exterior of the barrel that had some surface rust at some point. The two areas on top of this rifle missing finish are only visible when there is no scope mounted, a configuration not likely to be chosen given the caliber of this rifle. Aside from that, the rifle is beautiful. The bore is minty and bright. The rifling looks strong and there are no signs of corrosion or erosion. The original factory stock set is also in great shape. There are no cracks or repairs, and the checkering still looks attractive. Everything works 100% like the day it left the factory. It is chambered in the desirable .300 Winchester Magnum, an excellent belted magnum cartridge capable of extreme accuracy with a ton of knock-down power. If you have been looking for a magnum caliber Browning BAR that is capable of accurately taking on the largest game in the lower 48 states, this rifle would be an excellent choice and a good investment at the same time.
