We are offering for sale a “Charles Daly” marked PRUSSIAN DRILLING believed to be made by J.P. Sauer & Sohn, circa 1900. This SCARCE drilling is chambered in 20 Ga. barrels over a 38/55 caliber rifle barrel. SCARCE COMBO!
Gun remains very nice. 28” “Fine Damascus Barrels” are very good with a wonderful finish. A few scattered scrapes; blemishes. Bores are all clean; Rifle bore has excellent rifling. Right shotgun barrel muzzle has slight indentation. Barrels are heavily proof marked on the underside; Please see photographs for exact marks. The receiver is lightly engraved with beautiful case colors. Both side locks show signs of strong remaining case colors; Both locks marked “Charles Daly”. Sidelock opens breach; Top lock selects between rifle and shotgun function. Rear tang aperture sight excellent. Premium walnut stocks remain very good with light overall wear; No breaks or cracks; No damage noted. Plastic butt plate shows a few light marks; Engraved screw heads MINT!
