Description:
An antique cast iron Horseshoe Inkwell stand with pressed glass covered ink reservoir. The cast iron stand has a horse head as a main focal point with attached ledges to accommodate vintage or modern day ink pens. The glass ink reservoir has its original cast iron top which fits securely on top, does not screw on. The overall design though equestrian in context has an Eastlake look to it.  Measurements: Approximately 3-3/4 inches wide by 4-3/4 inches deep and 5-1/8 inches tall. Condition: Near perfect antique condition. The original pressed glass ink reservoir fits secure in the stand. There are no rim nicks/chips to its exterior rim under the lid. Marks: On the base of the glass ink reservoir are the impressed letters P S & W Co. for Peck, Stow & Wilcox Co. PAT DEC. 11, and 77 for the year 1877. An ideal desk piece for a Victorian decor or horse or ranch lovers home or office. Note, the horse hoof feet.
