Description:
We are offering for sale an Ansley Fox (A.H. FOX) side by side break action shotgun chambered in 12 Ga. This is a later style A GRADE with gorgeous engravings. Gun remains in very good to excellent functioning condition.
30” barrels with solid matte rib, marked “Chromox Fluid Compressed Steel”. These barrels appear to have been lined at some point (screw in chokes?) Right barrel is choked IMP and has light rifling; Left barrel appears to be choked IMP as well but is completely smooth. Receiver shows light traces of case coloring in protected areas; Heavily engraved with “Ansley Fox” on either side. Water table shows strong case colors; Marked “A” for grade. Barrel lockup to receiver is as tight as can be. Furniture is beautiful on this gun; No damage noted. This gun was previously owned by a larger framed gentleman who has a long LOP; The butt end has been fitted with a recoil pad making LOP 15”; Pad can be removed and a smaller pad can be installed for smaller LOP. Drop in comb, 1 ¾”. Drop in heel 2 ¾”.
