SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR 45-70 CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE. All original with the exception of the Model 1879 rear sight. Fine condition with barrel having 70-80% blue. Lock and hammer with good markings. Stock with the original finish and a visible cartouche. Excellent encircled “P” proof stamp on stock behind trigger guard rear tang. Working order and excellent plus bore.
