This is a very seldom seen Special Order Extra Heavy 1876 rifle. It is an extraordinary rifle in that it is an early 4 digit second model rifle, with its original thumbprint dust cover. It letter from the Winchester Museum with a 26 inch (Factory Short Rifle), Set Trigger, Extra Heavy, full magazine rifle. And as an extra desirable feature, it has a cresent buttstock. The metal shows a considerable amount of blue finish, beautiful brass lifter, and the nicely fitting wood shows a gorgeous grain and medium color and finish. And notice the sights, that include a combination Beach Globe front sight. It has a strong appealing bore, and a smoothly functioning action.
