Description:
The Colt Official Police (Post-War) was manufactured from 1947 to 1969. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with a 2, 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, Coltwood (plastic) grips until 1954 checkered walnut thereafter, fixed sights, blue or nickel finished, and were chambered in either .22 LR or .38 Special. This 1957 vintage gun is as described, is fitted with a 4 inch barrel, is blue finished and is chambered in .38 Special. It is in fine condition, retaining 80% of its original blue finish with most of the thinning on the cylinder and back-strap. The checkered walnut grips are in very good condition, fit well and have no cracks or chips, just some minor handling marks and pressure dents. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, the action functions perfectly, with excellent timing and tight lock-up. Great shooter Colt Official Police double action.
