Description:
Colt Detective Special chambered in .38 Special with a 2'' barrel and beautiful factory Electroless Nickel finish. The serial number dates production to 1982. This revolver is in excellent condition complete with the original box numbered to the gun. The box itself in complete and intact but only in "average" condition. Also included is the original plastic bag, anti-corrosion paper, yellow hang tag, and all other owners papers. The only item missing is the green Colt Custom Shop label that was originally pasted over top the factory label. You can still see the glue residue on the end of the box label. A Colt Archive Letter is included to authenticate the configuration. All "E-Nickel" guns began life as blue guns that were then redirected to the Custom Shop for the final custom finish. The overall condition rates a solid 98% with light handling and no major detractions or high edge wear from being carried. The condition of the cylinder face, recoil shield, and forcing cone indicate little use. The grips are like new. Overall a very hard to find and complete 35 year old collector package.
