Description:
English Spring Bayonet Coach Gun by Blair of London. Circa 1805-1815. Barrel length 14” and overall length 29 ½”. Barrel and fittings are of brass. Lock has a roller frizzen and is signed “Blair”. Action and spring bayonet work perfectly. Trigger guard has an acorn finial. Stock has an old but smooth coat of varnish added long ago. Spring bayonet is 10” length. Butt plate and trigger guard are floral engraved. Nice example of a coach gun sure to strike fear in the heart of a highwayman.
