This is a lovely S& W 1st Model 2nd edition The action is crisp and correct timing . The blue barrel retain 20% blue along recessed aareas as well as under flats . The rest of barrel shows a very liight rust patina no pit. The back strapp and receiver show 98% thinning silver plate with brass show on edges . the rose wood grip are beautiful no cracks or chips with 90% varnish. The bore shows small patch black powder etch bore is bright and shiney with strong rifeling.. The octogon barrel is 3 3/16 inchess long. all marking sharp an clear including patent dates on non fluted cylinder The serial # denotes is manufactured near the end of the run. Circa 1867. this antique I ship to the world where allowed.
