Description:

A real nice Martini Henry made by Wesley Richards made for ZAR (Dutch for South African Republic). This rifle has The Francotte Improvement with allowed for the removal of the action from the receiver for cleaning by removing the screw that allowed the action to drop out. This rifle way mainly issued to second line troops based on conditions. Caliber is 577-450. Only 10,000 were made for the ZAR by Wesley Richards of which appx. 7,000 were rifle and the rest carbines. Many were burned upon capture therefore the rest were claimed by the supply troops for the most part by hiding them in supply wagons, how many remain is unknown. Date of manufacturer is unknown. There are light surface blemishes and a small area of pitting on the action side with the triangle. Sale is final and look at the pictures, no 3 day inspection because this rifle is an antique. Nothing will be sent until total payment is received and cleared. Overseas payment shall be in US dollars and item will not be sent to an import/exporter until funds have cleared to my  satisfaction. Shipping in the US shall b $125.00 (For weight and insurance as well) Payment shall consist of finaland the shipping cost. No sale to any State that has onerous gun control laws i.e. NY, NJ, CN, MS, MD, CA, VT or any other State meeting the prior conditions, shipping costs will reflect any conditions I have to meet and the arraignments required, I can refuse sale in order to protect myself. Any overseas buyers will have to make any import/export arrangements, I will ship at $125.00 to an USA FFL import/export company or a FFL only and when confirmation is received I am absolved of any further responsibility
