Description:
Serial #92632, .32 CF, 24" octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a splendid, 1893-made rifle that retains 92-95% of the original blue finish, with the only appreciable loss occurring as mild silvering along the edges of the barrel facets, and on the edges and radii of the frame. The lever and hammer retain most of their original color case-hardened finish with some freckling along the edges of the finger loop, and gray fading along the sides of the hammer. The rifle has a gold washed Beach combination front sight and a Lyman two-leaf rear barrel sight. The walnut forend and buttstock have only some minor handling marks and blemishes in the otherwise excellent original finish, mostly along the sides of the butt. Additionally, the crescent buttplate has some smooth, darkly mottled freckling throughout. This is a very handsome rifle, in excellent original condition, with an unusually high degree of the original blue remaining. Antique
