Description:
Serial #137194, 12 Ga. (2 3/4"), 30" barrels with light freckling in both tubes. The barrels of this gun have retained 80-85% of their original blue with some pale fading at the muzzles and the breech, as well as small surface scratches scattered throughout. The frame has muted original color case-hardening, mostly on protected areas around the standing breech, and there is a darkly mottled gray-black patina along the balance of the frame metal. The walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend have numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes with a small crack at the right side of the forend near the tip and heavy flattening of the points. A brass screw repair has been added to the rear of the forend that has had rough knurling added to the head. The stock has a 14 1/8" length of pull to the original hard rubber Ithaca buttplate (cracked at the heel) and drops of 1 3/4" and 3 1/4" respectively. There is an added screw repair on the side panel on the left side just behind the frame juncture. The lock-up is good, but the barrels are off-face and the lever rests just left of center. This is a nice Ithaca and rates about good overall. FFL or C&R
