Description:

ANTIQUE Whitneyville Armory POCKET Revolver

19th Century Conceal Carry Pocket Revolver

Here we present an antique Whitney No. 1-1/2 .32 Rimfire Revolver, made circa the 1870s in New Haven, Connecticut. This small revolver carried five shots of .32 rimfire ammunition. It was specifically designed to be a pocket gun, being very small and light. For those not wanting or needing a full-sized gun or for those who wanted a backup this revolver was the ideal self-defense firearm for the tumultuous 19th century.

The top of the barrel is marked “WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT. U.S.A./PAT. MAY 23 1871”.

The overall condition is good. A bit of original blue finish remains on the bottom of the barrel. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match. The grips are in good condition. The bore is sharply rifled and clean. The action needs adjustment. The hammer does go into partial-cock and full-cock, but the cylinder does not index at all.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 3-1/4 inches.

Caliber: .32 Rimfire

Overall condition as seen in photos.
