This is a super early 10,000 serial range Special Order 1892 Carbine, chambered in 44-40, with a carbine butt and a button magazine. It has been used, it shows an overall gray patina finish, levers well, has a fair bore, and has good wood with slight slivers missing at the tangs. It has a nice (and expensive) rear 1873 rear ladder sight. A decent very early 44-40 caliber carbine.
