Description:
Walther Sportmodell Meisterbuchse .22 single shot rifle. This particular model was the best single shot rimfire rifle that Walther could make. it was called the Sportmodell Meisterbuchse(Champion's Rifle) and featured an oversize Walnut target stock with fine checkering and a relief cut for the right hand thumb, an adjustable target trigger and a heavy profile match grade target barrel. These had the highest degree of fit and finish that Walther could muster and these rifles quickly earned a reputation for being EXTREMELY accurate. The adjustable rear sight is missing, but the front sight is there or you could have a scope mounted. This would be easy as the receiver came factory grooved for tip-off style rings. Someone in the past cut a dovetail through the word “modell”, I guess to install a rear sight, now missing. Missing also are two of the three sling swivels, easily replaced. This Walther remains in excellent condition, and will make someone an exceptional 22 for target or hunting. $645 plus $35 insured shipping. Lay-a-way available, no credit cards and no trades. C&R ok.
