What great example of one of WW II greatest snipers. The gun retains about 98% of the arsenal parkerierizing. There is just some minor loss due to sharp edge silvering. There is no rust, pits, rub marks, or scratches to be found.
The gun is dated 1943. All parts match including the proper scope mount. The receiver is stamped with the proper T stamp and the butt socket is also stamped with the proper TR. and the Ser. A 44XX. The scope is stamped TEL STG 32 Mk III / OS 2039 / AK & S No.28173/ 1945.
The scope mount is stamped A44XX and matches the receiver and the bolt. The scope finish is about 90 percent however there is just a little flaking on the front brass sunshade from the leather lens protector. The scope is crystal clear and the three post reticle is perfect and functions properly.
The stock is remarkably free from chips, dings, or splits and has retained about 90-95% of the original lacquer finish. And when you think it can’t get better, also numbered A 44XX. The bolt rails, bolt face and feed ramp show very little use. The bore is just super, mirror bright with scalpel sharp rifling.
The gun comes with one magazine numbered A 44XX. (Awesome!) and a leather lens cover, which is very fragile. What a winner this one is. A center piece for the collector and an X ring blaster at the sniper......$4495........
