Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 Nickel
Folks the Professor has opened up the vault and pulled a few treasures out for you to consider. This is his S&W 27-2 Nickel 3 ½ barreled revolver, Serial # N407390. This revolver may have had this barrel installed at some point in it’s life. There are the letters SN 80674 and following that, the letter P within a circle. This revolver has the checkered top strap, recessed cylinder chambers, pinned barrel and dual pinned front sight. The revolver also has grooved wide target trigger, wide target hammer and football grips, (named such because of the milled section to allow for easier reloading which to many resemble the shape of a football). The revolver has no functional issues and very few nicks or scratches in the metal finish. Two small areas of varnish are thinned out one the right side of the grips. One of my fellow peace officer cadets used one like this to qualify many years ago and both he and the revolver shot lights out. This one was test fired and shoots very well indeed. The mass of these N framed 357 magnum revolvers tends make them very accurate.
