For sale, a beautiful all-original Colt Model 1908 Hammerless pistol in .380 ACP caliber made in 1936. This scarce pre-World War 2 Colt pistol is very attractive and is in very good condition overall. The original Colt factory blue finish rates a solid 85 to 90%. It shows some honest age and wear but is still very attractive. The bore is excellent with nice sharp lands and grooves in the rifling and it still shows bright. The original checkered Walnut factory grips are in very good shape with nice silver Rampant Colt Medallions and are free from cracks and repairs. The checkering is still nicely defined but shows a little storage/carry wear. This 1908 comes with an original and correct 2-tone factory magazine in excellent condition. Everything works on this pistol 100% like the day it left the Colt factory. Given the excellent condition of the grip straps and internals it seems very likely that the majority of the wear on this pistol came from storage rather than carrying or firing it. We were told that it has spent the last 20 plus years stored in a sock drawer literally inside of a wool sock! This pistol would be an excellent choice for someone wanting a really nice Colt 1908 Hammerless .380 pistol for their collection, but doesn't want it to be so minty they would feel bad shooting it.
