This is the gun that everybody wants with its octagon barrel and full length mag tube chambered in the desirable 44 WCF caliber complete with a crescent butt plate. "The gun that won the West". Good bore with good rifling. Wood shows a few mars and dings but is sound and solid with no cracks or splits. Rifle style buttplate. Overall metal is in very nice condition with good sharp corners, excellent markings and original sights. Crisp tight action. Original dust cover. 50-60% barrel and magazine blue. 40% original receiver blue. Nice sharp little gun that is hard to find with octagon barrel in 44-40 that isn't a complete wreck. Good looking example that you can take out and have some fun with or just add it to your collection.
