We are offering for sale a very collectible US Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt action rifle chambered in 30-06 caliber. This is a WWI era rifle manufactured in 1916. Barrel has a date code of 12/15. Gun remains in high condition with light overall wear. Very crisp example!
24” barrel is very good retaining the majority of original bluing. Date code is 12/15 with the flaming bomb mark. Bore is bright and clean with excellent rifling. Original hooded blade front sight and adjustable rear ladder sight. The action is very clean with very nice bluing. Bolt action works smoothly. Floorplate shows freckling; Flaming bomb mark on front of trigger guard. 3 Sling swivels intact with light wear. Original buttplate is excellent with original cleaning kit inside buttstock. The furniture on this example is stunning with little overall wear. See pictures for markings.
