The hard rubber grips are intact with no damage or chips. There is one rub spot near the left side take down wedge. Other than that, the charcoal high polish finish would rate a good 96% overall. The bore is bright with no pitting or wear. The hammer shows good color case finish. The magazine is the correct marked magazine for this pistol. The magazine is marked on the floor plate [PKT COLT 38 CAL]. This pistol shows very little use or carry. This Colt is in perfect firing order. This Colt comes with a period leather wrapped pistol box. The box is in good condition and displays this pistol well. These pocket hammer model Colts are hard to find in nice clean original condition. This is especially true for the earlier models of the 1903's such as this pistol. Please keep in mind if you plan to shoot this pistol, that you must shoot 38 Automatic ammunition only! The 38 Super will chamber in this pistol however, the loading is too hot for the older model pistols such as this 1903 and the 1902's.  These Pocket Model 38's are very collectable for early Colt collectors as well as early Automatic collectors.
