#27440, Chapuis 30-06 Progress Express SxS Double Rifle, 23 5/8" Ejector Barrels with a Quarter rib with 1 standing sight, Quick detachable single lever pivot mounts that were factory installed, Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 EE scope with a fine duplex type reticle with an illuminated dot, Bushed striker, Scalloped action body, Single trigger, Slight beavertail forend with a Deeley & Edge release, Straight hand stock at 14 1/8" lop over a 7/8" pad, Slight cast-off, No cheekpiece, Sling eyes, Very nice wood, 8 lbs. 13 oz. & 10 lbs. 3 oz. with the scope mounted, It has a Mercury reducer in the buttstock, 65% coverage of rose & scroll engraving, The barrel blue at 96%, The case colors remain at 98%, The stock finish remains at 92-94%, The checkering at 97%, The bores remain as new. /////////////////////////////////// This gun is totally field proven with excellent accuracy. Our in house Gunmaker regulated it to Federal Premium 30-06 with 180 grain Woodleigh Weldcore soft point. With that ammo it will shoot 1" groups from each barrel at 100 yards with the divergence between the 2 barrels at about 1 1/2". It has taken large game at about 250 yards. This Federal Premium load is their High Energy load and will perform nearly to that of a 300 Win. Mag. There are about 160 factory Federal rounds that go with the rifle.
