Found in Zimbabwe (via Mike Bunce who PH'd for Boddingtons and has some stories to tell on that score) and smuggled out through multiple roadblocks during which the accompanying ammo was confiscated, this snap-action gun has the most stunning buttstock I have seen on a German gun. Honey-colored walnut with extensive fiddle grain, no cracks. Recently refinished and checkering nicely repointed, with black ebony extension. LOP 14 1/2" through 1 1/4" serrated extension, right hand cheekpiece, 3" drop. Rebounding hammers, with single set trigger for right/rifle bbls. Gun is tighter than new, having been rejointed (hook and locking bolt worked). Cleaned and lubed internally. Good if not perfect screws, hammer screws appear to be replacements. Very good 27"x 2 1/2" barrels, R.670/.655 (M) and L .668/.645 (IM), no pitting internally. Original claw mount bases, two position rear sight, finely engraved sculpted rib, and a good amount of very crisp scroll engraving are in keeping with the high quality guns this maker is known for. A superb example of very high end German gunmaking. 6 3/4 lbs.
