This is a current production Steyr Luxus Take-Down rifle chambered in the versatile 30-06 caliber. With their hammer-forged barrels, Steyr rifles have the reputation as one of the most accurate production rifles available. The MSRP on this rifle is $3,250. I purchased it directly from Steyr USA in Alabama.
If you've ever traveled with a take-down rifle, you know the convenience of toting a briefcase-size case, instead of the usual long rifle case that screams "GUN" as you travel through airports, hotels, and such.
The rifle comnes set up from the factory with Recknagel bases for use with their pivot rings, probably the best QD scopemount in the business. For those who like to personalize their rifle, the sideplates can be removed, and a number of different engraved game scene plates can be added.
I purchased this rifle to replace my Blaser, but have recently become enamored of double rifles, so this one can go.
