Chambered in .22 Rimfire
Here we present an antique Remington Vest Pocket No. 1 Pistol, made circa 1870 in Ilion, New York. This pistol was designed to be an extremely simple 19th Century self-defense tool that you could carry in your: vest pocket. This specimen is chambered in .22 rimfire. The barrel reads “REMINGTON ILION NY/PAT OCT 1 1861”.
The overall condition is good. The metal has a gray patina. The markings are clear and legible. The grips are smooth and in good shape. The bore is a bit rough. The action is excellent.
