Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Just received very nice 2nd year (1956) production Type 1 Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .357 Magnum. Since this is a early Blackhawk it has some features not found on the later guns, such as the Type Two ejector rod housing with the Type One Thumbpiece ejector rod, narrow front sight and base with wavy serrations, and the flattop frame with Micro adjustable rear sight. This gun has the optional ($5.00 additional charge) smooth walnut two piece grips with silver/black eagle medallions. These early grip panels can be identified by a special contour matching the grip frame above the medallion (these optional grips will be found on guns manufactured befroe 1959). This blue finished Blackhawk is built on the 3-screw frame and fitted with a 4 5/8 inch barrel. It is in excellent original condition, retaining 98%+ of its original blue finish, with most blue loss on the cylinder from handling. The frame has turned a pleasing overall plum/purple color. The grips retain most all of their original finish, with assorted handling marks/dings. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the action functions perfectly. From the guns overall condition, it appears to having been fired very little. If your looking for one of these early Old Model Ruger Blackhawks, you would be hard pressed to find one nicer. Sorry, no box or paper-work. PRICE: $1,150 We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974. PH. 859-276-1419 We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.
